Blue Ribbon Day: Remembering lives by saving others
On 29 September each year, Blue Ribbon Day provides the opportunity for the community to say thank you to those who protect and serve our community and ensure that those who have fallen are never forgotten. In Victoria, Blue Ribbon Day coincides with National Police Remembrance Day.
We would like to commemorate the 170 Victoria Police members who have paid the ultimate price for our community, and say thank you to all Victoria Police officers for their work in serving and protecting us.
Blue Ribbon Day also raises much needed funds to assist the Blue Ribbon Foundation to continue its work in funding emergency and life-saving medical facilities in public hospitals. These facilities are named in honour of Victoria Police officers who have died in the line of duty.
